In this dark and gritty session, street musician Austin Langford sings about the loss, displacement, and hopelessness of going through of a hurricane. There’s no stage, no spotlight, and no safety net—just Austin, his music, and a sidewalk in the middle of Galveston.
He tells the story the only way he knows how: by playing for strangers and taking whatever they’re willing to give. It’s a raw glimpse into what it means to be displaced, trying to survive, and finding a way to keep going when everything else is gone.
Filmed on the streets of historic downtown Galveston, Texas, in The Strand.
